Television news co-anchor Douglas Jardine on Thursday set a date for a possible plea agreement in the sexual misconduct charges against him.
A hearing on the disposition of the case is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 3.
Jardine, on leave from KTVX Channel 4's "Good Morning Utah," was charged with two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a 16-or 17 -year old, both second-degree felonies. According to court documents, a 17-year-old female told police she had intercourse with Jardine, 41, on two occasions earlier this year.
Utah law prohibits adults from having intercourse with 16-or 17-year olds if the adult is 10 years or more older than the teen.
