Fletcher Gray Shatley, 75, beloved father and grandfather, passed away July 26, 2000 in Salt Lake City.
Fletcher had been living with his daughter in Draper since April of this year.
He was born Sept. 26, 1924 in Bluefield, West Virginia to Hagy Lee and Lillie Jane Barker Shatley. He married Edith Alma Thomas in Narrows, Virginia on Sept. 24, 1951. She preceded him in death in 1983.
Fletcher retired from the United States Air Force after a career of 23 years. He then worked for Disney World for 20 years. Lifelong member of F.&A.M., Blue Lodge in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He was also a member of the VFW, Elks and the American Legion.
Survivors: Daughter, Karen Weeks (Leon), Draper; sons, Patrick, Virginia; Donald, Florida; Christopher (Camille), Louisiana; grandchildren, Justin and Hannah Shatley; Isaac and Nathaniel Weeks; also a niece and two nephews; and a longtime special friend, Paula Beaudoin.
Funeral services and burial will take place in Florida at a later date.
