Cora Osborn Gray Roberts, 89, passed away on Wed., July 26, 2000. Cora was a longtime resident of Pocatello, Idaho.
She was born August 22, 1910 in Escalante, Utah to William James and Sarah T. Osborn. She was raised in the Escalante and Boul-der area and was a graduate from Esca-lante High School. She was the secre-tary of her senior class and was active in the LDS Seminary program. She worked at Ruby's Inn in Bryce Canyon National Park where she met her future husband, Lester Leroy Gray. They were married May 14, 1930 in Tropic, Utah. In 1937 at the age of 27 she became a widow with three small children. She later married Ray Roberts on June 7, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She had two more children from this marriage. They lived a brief time in Ogden and Salt Lake City and moved in 1944 to Pocatello, where she spent the remainder of her life. She became a widow again in 1971. She enjoyed being a mother and homemaker and spending time with her family. She was an excellent cook and seamstress. In her later life she worked several years for ISU Maintenance. She was a member of the LDS Church and served as a secretary in the MIA and in the Special Interest program. She also was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
She was preceded in death by both her parents; her sister, Lillian; her brother, Elmer; bother her husbands; her children, Donald L. Gray and Elna Rae Roberts; a grandson, Jason Robert Borneman; and a son-in-law, Erven C. Wade. She is survived by her daughters, Cleva G. Hagler, Pocatello; Elaine G. Wade, Sandy; and Ann Valeen R. (husband, E. Russell) Borneman, Farmington; 16 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and five great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sat., July 29, 2000 in the Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 So. 4th Ave., Pocatello, Idaho. The family will meet with friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery.
