The First Presidency has announced the open house and dedication dates for the new Caracas D.F. Venezuela and Santo Domingo Dominican Republic temples.

The Caracas D.F. Venezuela Temple will open its doors for the public on Aug. 5-12, 2000, except on Sunday, Aug. 6. It will be dedicated in four sessions on Sunday, Aug. 20, 2000, and open for ordinance work on Monday, Aug. 21.

The Caracas temple was originally announced Sept. 30, 1995, and on May 23, 1998, it was announced that it would be a smaller temple. Ground was broken for the temple on Jan. 10, 1999.

The Church's first Caribbean temple will open its doors to the public Aug. 26 and remain open through Sept. 9, except Sunday, Aug. 27, and Sunday, Sept. 3. The temple will be dedicated on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000, in four sessions. It will open for ordinance work the following day, Monday, Sept. 18, 2000.

The Santo Domingo temple was announced Nov. 16, 1993, and ground was broken for the project on Aug. 18, 1996.
