I have been a lifelong Republican, voting in every election, spending time first researching the qualifications of candidates. After becoming acquainted with the qualifications of Reed Richards, Democratic candidate for attorney general, I can heartily endorse him. He has served seven years as chief deputy in the Attorney General's Office.
Reed Richards has an impressive record. He founded the first Children's Justice Center in Utah and was named Child Advocate of the Year. He served two terms as Weber County attorney, served as chairman of the Utah Council of Victims of Crime and established a victim assistance program. He has been an adjunct professor at Weber State University. He has worked with the youth as a Little League coach and Scoutmaster for eight years. He has served in many capacities and leadership positions. He is married and has four children.
I attended the public meeting at St. George's Ancestor Square (July 19) where he met with people, related his hopes and aspirations for the position. I found him to be articulate and knowledgeable as well as showing real concern and care about people of Utah. If you want an honest, fair and capable attorney general, cast your vote with mine for Reed Richards.
