TREMONTON-- Vera Hunsaker Stohl Petersen, 90, died Thurs., July 27, 2000, at her home in Tremonton.
She was born March 29, 1910, in Deweyville, Utah, the daughter of Cleone Arthur and Vivian Adelaide Gardner Hunsaker. She married Heber Ervin Stohl on October 5, 1929. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on Jan. 29, 1949. Ervin died Feb. 18, 1957. Vera married Jesse F. Petersen on Oct. 12, 1959. He died Sept. 11, 1997.
She is survived by her daughter Marcia Ann (D. Brent) Johnsen of Tremonton; a granddaughter, Regan, who was reared as a daughter in Vera's home; stepchildren, Sherrie Applonie of Carson City, NV; Donna (Jack) Fronk, Jesse F. (Carol) Petersen Jr. both of Tremonton; Karel Petersen of Springville; Reggie (Mary Ann) Petersen of Penrose, UT; 32 grandchildren; 63 great-grand-children; six great great-grandchildren; a brother Leon M. Hunsaker of Grants Pass, OR.
At Vera's request a short funeral service will be held at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, on Monday, July 31, 2000, 12 noon. Friends may call Monday ONLY from 10:30-11:40 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment in the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
