Beloved mother and grandmother, Gwen Jacob Roundy passed away at age 72 in Pleasant Grove, Utah. She completed her mission and returned to her Heavenly Father and the arms of her loving husband on July 29, 2000.

Born in Orem, Utah, January 26, 1928, to Thomas Alexander and Myrl Eva Park Jacob. She grew up in Orem, graduating from Lincoln High School. She met her husband, Paul Frost Roundy, at BYU where they graduated together. Gwen graduated with a degree in nutrition.

Paul and Gwen were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on October 6, 1949. Together they gave life and love to four children in Pleasant Grove. She worked for UP&L as a home economist in Idaho. Gwen also worked 14 years for the Utah State Extension Service, a job she enjoyed very much.

An active member of the LDS Church, she served in various callings. She was an excellent cook, seamstress, and a loving mother.

She is survived by her children: Suzan (Glen) Wright, Pleasant Grove; Tamara (Tom) Sheehy, Copperton; Bart and James Roundy, Orem; a brother, Verl T. Jacob, Salt Lake; 11 grandchildren who loved her very much. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul; her sister Betty Foster, and her parents.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2000, at 11 a.m. in the Old Manila Chapel, 3986 West 8800 North, Pleasant Grove. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and at the church on Wednesday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Orem City Cemetery.

Gwen's children would like to thank all those who haven given love and care to her these last few years. Your kindness has not gone unnoticed and is greatly appreciated.
