Kenneth Leroy Reinemer, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away July 28, 2000, in Salt Lake City, Utah, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born Nov. 26, 1934, in Nampa, ID, the son of Glen and Lucille Reinemer. Following grad-uation from Durham High School in Northern California, where he was raised, he served honorably in the U. S. Navy from 1952-1956. He worked professionally more than 40 years as a branch officer for Bank of America, National Bank of Alaska, and Key Bank of Alaska.
He was a quiet, gentle, honest, and devoted man. He loved the outdoors of Alaska where he lived for 29 years and raised his family. Building the family cabin on the shores of Beaver Lake, AK, and puttering around in his boat were his greatest joys, and a memory which will be cherished forever by his family. He will also be remembered as a craftsman of wooden toys, which are loved dearly by his children and grandchildren.
Survived by his wife of 40 years, Susanne Reinemer; son, Hans (Tessa) Reinemer; daughters, Elizabeth (Lew) Carleton, Kirsten (Cale) Teeter; five grandchildren, Elsie, Keegan, Heidi, Ray, Finn; sister, Barbara Lewis, Reno, NV; brother, Glen Reinemer, Springville, OR; aunt, Louise Walz, Truth or Consequences, NM; and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins.
An Open House is scheduled 6-8 p.m., Thurs., Aug 3, at the home of Hans C. Reinemer, 4695 Wander Lane, Holladay, UT 84117. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
