HERRIMAN, UT-- Fred "G" Twede, our loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend, age 64, passed away July 29, 2000, as a result of a brain tumor.
Born Jan. 28, 1936, in Payson, UT, to Edna and Vernal Twede. He served an LDS mission to the North-western States 1956-1958 and was a BYU graduate. Married Judy Hoffman in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, 1961 and they lived in California for 38 years before return-ing to Utah a year ago. He was an active member of the LDS Church.
Survived by wife, Judy; children, Brent, Brian, Mark, Roger, Cindy; brother, Ken; in-laws, Howard and Lucile Hoffman; 16 grandchildren; and 12 additional brothers and sisters-in-law.
Fred played football, basketball, golf, loved music, gardening, an avid skier, and most of all had a great love for children and was a devout family man. He spent much time with his children in various activities. He was a ski instructor and skiing was his favorite family activity. Also boating at the beautiful lakes in Northern California.
He loved his Savior and always served Him faithfully. His quiet, humble way strengthened everyone who knew him. He had great respect for people.
Services will be 11 a.m., Tues., Aug 1, at the Herriman LDS Stake Center, 13700 S. 5600 W., Herriman. Interment, Herriman Cemetery. Funeral directors, Broomhead Funeral Home.
