In this day and age, too many of us, including myself, could be more supportive of our law enforcement officers. About 3:30 p.m. on Friday, June 30, I was heading to Salt Lake City for a business appointment when a tire on my SUV blew out. It turned out to be a two-man job.
Fortunately, Salt Lake County deputy sheriff Ken Cannon of Bluffdale stopped and not only offered his help but basically did the job in a much more efficient manner than I could have, as I approach my senior years.
I wish to express my thanks to Ken and the other officers who not only go out of their way to help people with small problems but take incredible risks in going into uncertain situations where firearms, drugs and alcohol play such a significant part.
Again, my thanks to you, Deputy Cannon, and I'm looking for someone I can stop and help now.
