RANDOLPH, Utah -- Bertha Dickson McKinnon, 83, passed away on July 1, 2000 at her home.

She was born on March 23, 1917, the daughter of Orlando and Charlotte (Cook) Dickson in Woodruff, Utah. She married Gale McKinnon on April 30, 1934 in Randolph, Utah, their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City L.D.S. Temple. He preceded her in death on Oct. 19, 1999.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served as a visiting teacher, and a primary teacher for 30 years. She also served a Stake Mission and was a part of the ward choir, and has done work for the dead in many temples. She was a member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She was very appreciative of her legacy, parents and grandparents. She was very devoted to her husband and family and was very kind and helpful to those less fortunate.

She enjoyed ranching, cooking, sewing, and raising calves. She also has many beautiful albums and journals.

Survivors: sons, Paul Gale (Carmen) McKinnon of Brigham City, Ut; Elwin (Barbara) McKinnon of Randolph, Ut; Aaron McKinnon of Tempe, AZ; daughters, Susan (Grant) Wood of Woodville, ID; Iris (Jerry) Wilson of Duchesne, Ut; brothers, Max Dickson of Sandy, UT; Elwin Dickson of Brigham City, Ut; sisters, Velma (Bill) Stacey of Provo, Ut; Maxine (Bob) Nelson of St. George, Ut; 37 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, and five great great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, her son, Jason McKinnon, her daughter, Pearl Cornia, and a sister, Norma Sims.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 7, 2000 at 12 p.m. in the Randolph L.D.S. Chapel. Friends may call at the Crandall Funeral Home on Thursday, July 6, 2000 from 6-8 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 11-11:45 a.m. Interment will follow in the Randolph City Cemetery.
