SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Mwadi Mabika scored 23 points and DeLisha Milton had 20 as Los Angeles won its 10th straight game with a 76-61 win over Sacramento.
The winning streak is the second longest in WNBA history behind Houston's 15-game run in 1998.
Lisa Leslie added 10 points and nine rebounds to help the Sparks (14-2) move within a half-game of first-place Houston in the Western Conference.
Yolanda Griffith had 19 points and nine rebounds for the Monarchs (11-6), who lost for the first time in eight games this season at Arco Arena.
STING 76, HEAT 70: At Charlotte, Rhonda Mapp scored 20 points — including the 1,000th point of her career — as the Charlotte Sting won their first home game of the season. Charlotte (3-13) ended a WNBA-record nine-game home losing streak and a five-game overall losing streak.
Shalonda Enis added 16 points for the Sting. Katrina Colleton had 14 points for Miami (5-11).
LIBERTY 62, FIRE 45: At New York, Vickie Johnson and Becky Hammon scored 15 points apiece as New York beat expansion Portland.
Tari Phillips added 12 points and 10 rebounds to help the Liberty (8-9) snap a two-game losing streak. Sophia Witherspoon led the Fire (4-11) with nine points.
STORM 67, LYNX 60: At Minneapolis, Robin Threatt scored a season-high 24 points as Seattle beat Minnesota to end a nine-game losing streak.
Charisse Sampson added 11 points for the Storm (3-13). Kristin Folkl and Keitha Dickerson each scored 15 points for the Lynx (10-6).
