Elizabeth Boren Anderson, 87, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2000 at McKay-Dee Hospital.
She was born June 19, 1913 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Wilford W. and Johanna Dworack Boren. She married George E. Anderson on February 25, 1932 in Salt Lake City, their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple.
He preceded her in death on September 4, 1995, after 63 years of marriage.
She was a member of the Lomond View Ward, where she was active as Sunday School Coordinator, Relief Society President, Magazine Director, and Temple Worker.
Surviving are six sons, George E. (Helen) Anderson, Jr., Washington Terrace; David G. (Sharron) Anderson, Ogden; James Lew (June) Anderson, Lenexa, Kansas; Roger F. Anderson, Ogden; J. Richard (Kathy) Anderson, Tremonton, Utah; Larry K. (Marilyn) Anderson, Tremonton, Utah; two daughters, Elizabeth "Joan" Stidham, Riverdale, Utah; Laura (Eugene) Mahnke, Ogden; 38 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She is also survived by three sisters, Kate (Fred) Mauerman, Alice Wellard, Rita (Jack) Stowers, all of Salt Lake City, Utah; and one half sister, Tella Forcier.
She was preceded in death by grandchildren, Letitia Curtin, Jeremy Withers; two brothers and one sister.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and doctors at McKay-Dee Hospital for their kindness to Mom.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2000 at 1 p.m. at Myers Mortuary Chapel in Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd., where friends may call on Monday from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m.
Interment, Myers Evergreen Memorial Park.
