Bruce Elward Johnson, 74, died July 3, 2000 in Salt Lake City.

Born June 9, 1926 in Gentry Arkansas to William B. and Iris Nona Loop Johnson. Married Henny Schlisske January 10, 1959.

Bruce was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict and is a retired employee of Union Pacific Railroad, and member of the Granger Christian Church. An active member of the Masonic Lodge, he was a member of Progress Lodge #22, F&AM of Utah, Scottish Rite KCCH, El Kalah Shrine Temple AAONMS. Life member and past patron, of Mizpah Chapter No. 5, Order of the Eastern Star, and past Worthy Grand Patron, OES of Utah, 1992 - 1993.

Survived by his wife; daughter Iris Marie Woodward; son Bruce Arthur (Karen), grandsons Derek and Michael Woodward and Joseph Arthur Johnson; brothers Clark B. (Poppy), Dale A. (Rosemary), Bill (Rosemary) Johnson and many nephews and nieces.

Memorial services will be Friday 12 noon at Evans & Early Mortuary, 574 East 100 South where family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Burial at Redwood Memorial Estates. Friends wishing may make contributions to the Transportation Fund, Int. Unit of Shriners Childrens Hospital or Granger Christian Church Memorial Fund.
