PERRY — Auditions for the Heritage Community Theatre production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "State Fair" will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 11 and 12, and from 9 a.m. until noon on Saturday, July 15, at the theater, 2505 S. U.S. 89.

Melanie Nelson is directing. The cast includes the Frakes, a farmer and wife, ages 30-55; their daughter, Margie, age 16-25; their son, 16-25; Margie's suitor, 18-25; a lounge singer, 18-35; and a male trio, 20-60. Male and female dancers, in the 16-22 age range, are also needed. The show also requires a chorus, ages 14 and up, and two or three younger children for minor chorus parts.

Families are invited to audition.

Come prepared with one verse of an upbeat song. An accompanist will be provided (or bring your own tape). Those unable to attend the scheduled auditions may call the director at 1-435-723-2026 to make other arrangements.
