Scott Pyper Wallace died July 5, 2000 in Provo, Utah, at the age of 78.

He was born May 31, 1922 to William Henry Wallace and Lavelle Pyper in Salt Lake City, Utah. On June 27, 1947 Scott married Ruth Elizabeth Spangler in the Salt Lake City Temple. He served in the US Army during World War II and also during the Korean War. He was a physician in Provo for 43, until his retirement one year ago. He was a very active member of the LDS Church, and was a fine and noble man.

Scott is survived by his wife and four children: Mark (Bonnye) Spangler Wallace of Salt Lake City; Rachel (Arnold) Lavelle Wallace Hardy of Bountiful; Rebecca (Douglas) Wallace Later of Sandy; and Martha (James) Ruth Wallace Swigart of Redondo Beach, California; 15 grandchildren; his sister Alma Degn of Ogden; and his brother Lynn P. Wallace of Provo.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 8, 2000 at 2 p.m. at the Oak Hills Stake Center, 925 E. North Temple, Provo. Friends may call Friday July 7, 2000 from 6-8 p.m. at the Stake Center or Saturday one hour prior to the service. Services under the direction of Berg Mortuary of Provo.
