Old Sturbridge Village has re-created a rural New England village of the 1830s with working farms, mills, craft shops and stores. It is an independent, nonprofit educational institution.

Getting there: From Interstate 84, take Exit 3B to Route 20 west, go about one-half mile, follow signs. From the Massachusetts Turnpike, take Exit 9, then first right after tolls onto Route 20 west. Follow above directions. Parking is free.

Hours: From April 1-Oct. 29, open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. From Nov. 1-March 31, open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Closed Christmas Day.

Admission: Adults $18, age 65 and older $17, ages 6-15 $9, younger children free. Admission good for two consecutive days.
