Auditions for two upcoming Salt Lake area stage productions have been announced.
Wasatch Theatre Company will hold auditions for its production of Karrie Ann Ogilvie's original script, "All the World's a Stage," from 6:30-10 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, at Westminster College's Jewett Center for the Performing Arts, 1250 E. 1700 South.
There will be cold readings from the script. Callbacks are scheduled July 13, from 7-9 p.m.
The production, being directed by the playwright, will run Sept. 8-16 at Jim's Soupers Deli, 2278 S. Redwood Road.
Salt Lake Acting Company, 168 W. 500 North, will hold auditions on Monday and Tuesday, July 17 and 18, from 2-5 p.m., for Terry Johnson's "Hysteria," being directed by Meg Gibson.
Specific roles include Sigmund Freud, an energetic old man with a Viennese dialect; Jessica, a woman in her late 20s or early 30s; Abraham Yahuda, a large man in his 60s (even greater weight and status than Freud); and Salvador Dali, a small Spaniard with a strange moustache (Spanish dialect required).
Both Equity and non-equity performers may audition. All auditioners must be familiar with the script prior to trying out. Call 363-0525 to obtain a script and to schedule a 15-minute audition time slot.
Rehearsals begin Oct. 9 and performances in the Upstairs Theatre will be Nov. 15-Dec. 17.
