Elaine Stevens Bement Ellsworth, loved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away at her daughters home July 2, 2000.

She was born March 8, 1919, in Ephraim, Utah, to Henry Q. and Elizabeth Olsen Stevens. The family moved to Salt Lake in 1923, where she attended Bryant Jr., East High School, and the U of U, where she graduated in busi-ness administration.

In 1938 she married Charles A. Bement, later divorced. Married Curtis T. Ellsworth in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She was active in several organizations, and past president of Garfield PTA, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Young Matrons Club, Delphian Society and the Business Women's Association. She was a volunteer for the Red Cross, and general chairwoman for the American Convention of Business Women's Association, and American Business Woman of the year in Omaha, Nebraska.

She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, and she served as Sunday school and young woman's teacher at LDS Edghill ward.

Elaine loved music and dancing and belonged to the Round Dance Assn. Of Utah for many years. She was an avid golfer with a "hole-in-one" at Bonneville.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Bement; two loving grandchildren, C. Manuel Ycaza III, Lindita E. Ycaza; four great-grand-children: Trevor, Christopher, Cristina, Jonathen; and her ever faithful dog, Lucky. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Ann Bement, and her husband, Curtis T. Ellsworth.

A family celebration of her life was held at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
