Kamas, Utah- Hugh Donovan Hardman, 82, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2000 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center of heart failure.

Hugh was born Dec. 26, 1917 to George C. and Hazel Alice (McNeil) Hardman in Woodland, Utah. On March 9, 1946 he married Marjorie Olsen in Farmington, Utah. They had been married for 54 years. Hugh worked in the Park City mines and was manager of the Kamas Valley Co-Op for several years. He was a member of the L.D.S. church and had served in the Sunday School and Scouting. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, tinkering around the farm, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a former member of the Kamas Valley Lion's Club. Member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He is a veteran of World War II, serving with the 25th Infantry in the Pacific Theatre.

He is survived by wife, Marjorie; son, Steven D. (Barbara) Hardman, and daughter Rhonda (Marve) Mitchell; grandchildren, Charlie (Jenny), Cameron (Nancy), Stephanie (Garold), Brandi, Cooper, Cory, and Dusty; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Taylor Ann, and Hunter, all of Kamas, Utah; brother, Harry (Shirley) Hardman, Payson, Utah; sisters-in-law: Juanita Hardman, Heber City, Utah; and JoAnn Earl, Salt Lake City, Utah. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Bertrand, Keith, Neil; one sister Norene.

Funeral services will be held on Wed., August 2, 2000, at 12 noon in the Kamas L.D.S. Stake Center, at 3038 North State Road 32 in Marion, Utah. Friends may call at the church on Tues. evening from 6-8 p.m. and from 11-11:45 a.m. on Wed.. Interment will be in the Marion Cemetery under the direction of the Crandall Funeral Home, Kamas, Utah.
