LITTLETON, Colo. (AP) — A minister who officiated at the funeral of one of the Columbine High School gunmen is resigning from his church following strife with the congregation.

The Rev. Don Marxhausen said he will leave St. Philip Lutheran Church later this month after serving there for 10 years.

Marxhausen blamed his visibility after last year's school shootings, his relationship with the family of gunman Dylan Klebold and the time he spent counseling other Columbine students.

Forty-six Columbine students and family members attended St. Philip. Marxhausen said when he took a planned sabbatical from June to September — just months after the April massacre — some congregants didn't feel he was paying enough attention to them.
