Steamers 2, Freezz 0

ST. LOUIS — The Utah Freezz fell to 0-2 in the World Indoor Soccer League as the St. Louis Steamers recorded a controversial 6-5 win Saturday night.

The expansion Steamers play in the Family Arena, a new arena similar to the E Center. All night the clock was malfunctioning, and with six seconds remaining the clock went out. The scorer's table tried counting down the remaining seconds in their heads, and in the meantime Dave Huber knocked in the equalizer.

The refs consulted with the scorer's table officials for a few minutes before waving off the goal.

The Freezz's next game is Aug. 18 when they travel to Arizona. They return home the following night to host Monterrey in the E Center.
