Delorus Peterson Spencer passed away peacefully on Aug. 10, 2000 in her home as she wished.
Born Nov. 16, 1924 in Ephraim, Utah to Arthur and Mira Peterson. Married Merlin A. Spencer on Nov. 16, 1945, they made their home in Bluffdale, Utah in 1951.
Delorus was an active member in the L.D.S. Church and held many church positions. She was a member of the DUP. She was employed at Beehive Clothing from 1963 to 1989 when she retired. She did volunteer work at the Jordan River Temple for seven years.
Preceded in death by husband, Merlin, brother Ervan Peterson and sisters Erva Gregson and Ada Peterson.
Survived by sons Merlin Dell (Gayle), Michael (Robynn), Bob (Valerie); daughters Jackie Phillips and Diane (Robert) Limb; two sisters Reva Barnard and Helen (Bud) Porter; 17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Bluffdale 4th Ward at 14400 So. Redwood Rd. Friends may call Sunday eve. from 6-8 p.m. at the Broomhead Funeral Home 12600 So. 2200 W. and Monday one hour prior at the church. Interment Bluffdale Cemetery.
