Jessie Ward Yates, 95, died August 13, 2000 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born March 28, 1905 in Birmingham, England to Albert A. and Jessie Riches Ward. Married William St. John Yates in Birmingham on June 30, 1928. They were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Sept. 17, 1951. He died Aug. 6, 1997.
She was a pianist, and sang duets with her sister. She sewed, knitted and crocheted. She loved to travel and loved her family and friends.
Survived by son, Brian (Julie); daughters, Valerie (Fred) Luckau, Glenys (Jerry) Anderson, Pamela (Weston) Aoyagi; 22 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a niece, Janice (Kay) Mitchell. Preceded in death by son-in-law and daughter, George and Eugenie Budd; granddaughter, Kathryn Budd; great-grandsons, Jeremiah Anderson and Ryan Skeem; and sister, Doris Webb.

Funeral services Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000, at 11 a.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, where friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to the services. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
