Wonderful husband, father, brother, son and friend passed away peacefully at home at the age of 56 on the 14th day of August, 2000, surrounded by his loving family. His strength and courage through years of battling cancer inspired all the lives he touched. His zest for life will forever influence those who knew and loved him. He made a difference.

Bob was an outdoorsman of the first order. He loved skiing, kayaking, water-skiing, hiking, backpacking, and admiring the view of the Salt Lake valley from his deck. He enjoyed adventures with his wife Mary, daughter Kris Cowan (Jason), his son Bob (Lori), parents Bob Sr., and Betty, siblings John (Sid), Jim (Karen), Joe (Valre), MaryAnn (Kelly) and their families, in-laws Rosemary and Tom Sr., Tom Jr. (Cathie), Charles, Claudia, Brooke, and countless other family members, friends.

Bob was an accomplished sales professional who celebrated many successes with his business, Office Products Sales. He thoroughly enjoyed all of the working relationships developed with his colleagues and customers over the past 30 years. His career never overshadowed his involvement in his family's interests and passions, including activities at Judge Memorial High School (his Alma Mater), Gonzaga University, First Security opportunities, scuba diving in Cozumel, summer trips to Lake Powell, kayaking on the Snake River, skiing at Alta and Snowbird, and enjoyment in many other activities throughout his life.

A celebration of Bob's life will be held Friday at 5 p.m. at the Neil O'Donnell & Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South. Friends may call from 4-5 p.m. also at the mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to the Cancer Research institution of your choice.
