John Mellencamp made a stop Tuesday in Cleveland in a series of low-key, low-tech shows. He previously played in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Boston.
Mellencamp announced the show on his Internet site, and performed with only an accordionist and a fiddler.
"I'm just playing for the people. I don't want the newspapers writing that 'He was out promoting his new record,"' he said.
