John (Johnny) Alexander Arenaz, 52, died Monday, July 31, 2000 in Murray after a long battle with diabetes.
John was born April 2, 1948 in Salt Lake City a son of Jesus and Ruth Angela Torrez Arenaz.
He had served in the Army Special Forces in Germany, was a professional entertainer and had served on the Midvale Police Department attaining the rank of Sergeant.
Survivors include his ex-wife, Minerva; daughters; Cynthia Arenaz, Salt Lake; Roxanne Arenaz, Salt Lake; Justine Arenaz Shaw, Midvale; eight grandchildren; his father, Jesus Arenaz; brothers and sisters, Celia Hernandez, Salt Lake; Jesse Arenaz, Los Angeles, CA; Gilbert Arenaz, Ogden; Rosalie (Russell) Almond, West Valley; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Angelita and two sisters: Conchita Arenaz; and Gloria Morgan.
Memorial services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 So. Redwood Rd. where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Interment of the cremains; Redwood Memorial Estates.
