UTAH MUSIC FESTIVAL PRESENTS ROBERT CONWAY, tonight, 5 p.m., Sai-Sommet Restaurant, Deer Valley. Detroit Symphony Principal Pianist Conway will perform with his colleagues Alison Griffiths, Elliott Ross and Eric Samuels. The program will include works by Brahms, Bach, Weber, Chopin and Rachmaninoff. MOUNTAIN WEST BALLET, Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 21-22, 8 p.m., Sandy City Amphitheater. The ballet will perform "Swan Lake, Act II," "Spring Waters Pas de Deux," "Sleeping Beauty Variations," Glazunov's "Seasons" and Slavonic dances. Featured dancers will be Tonya Stefiuk and Paul Murphy of Ballet West. Tickets, $8, $6 and $4, are available at the door or at Mountain West Ballet (572-6222).

IRISH TENOR ROBIN TRITSCHLER, Friday, Aug. 25, 7:30 p.m., Assembly Hall, Temple Square. Tritschler will perform works by Hugo Wolf, Reynaldo Hahn, Bernadette Marmion and Richard Hageman. Lawrence Gee will accompany. Free.

CONTEST POWWOW DANCES, Friday, Aug. 25, 7-11 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 26, noon-11 p.m.; Sunday, Aug. 27, 11-3:30 p.m., Granger Park, West Valley City. Dancers will represent 131 tribes from the United States throughout the three-day festival as they compete for prizes. International acts featured will be the Kakwa group from the Sudan, Africa, the Narodna group from Russia and Grupo Amistad from Mexico. Tickets are $3 per person and free for senior citizens and children under six, available at the gate.

CAROL ANN ALLRED, Saturday, Aug. 26, 7:30 p.m., Assembly Hall, Temple Square. Soprano Allred will sing with pianist and flutist Brady R. Allred, mezzo-soprano Anna Mooy-Braithwaite and pianist Elizabeth Ballantyne. They will perform works by Bishop, Schubert, Mendelssoh, Faure, Cowell, Barber and Obradors. Free.

PRICKLY PEAR, Saturday, Aug. 26, 8 p.m., Tanner Amphitheater, Springdale. This all-acoustic program will include vintage Western, cowboy folk, swing, Celtic, old-time fiddle, gospel music and original works. Tickets are $8 and $5, available at the door.

ERNST KRENEK CENTENNIAL CONCERT, Saturday, Aug. 26, 8:15 p.m., Cathedral Church of St. Mark. This concert will include performances by Dr. Gary Barnett, piano; Dr. Rulon Christiansen, organ; Gregory Duffin, vocals; Jenny Harris Flinders, piano; Russell Harlow, clarinet; Laurel Ann Maurer, flute; Kathi Needham-Dilworth, vocals; and Dr. Michael Palumbo, viola.
