BOUNTIFUL Eric Robert Larson, 24, was found by his father and brother August 12, 2000 following a tragic accident in Egegik, Alaska. The exact time and circumstances of the accident are not known.
Born July 5, 1976 in Rexburg, ID to Robert H. and Jacque Anderson Larson. He graduated from Viewmont High School in 1994 and served in the Kenya-Nairobi Mission from 1995-1997. He graduated from Ricks College in 1999 and was a Senior at BYU majoring in accounting.
Eric enjoyed wrestling. It taught him the value of hard work and perseverance. He looked at each experience in life as an opportunity to learn and improve himself. He thoroughly enjoyed meeting people and making new friends. He was genuine and sincere. Eric loved to fish in Alaska and was one of the best. He had many friends who were fishermen in Bristol Bay who admired the way he lived. He loved to learn and also teach. His mission was the high point of his life. He loved the African people.
Eric is survived by his parents, Robert and Jacque Larson, Bountiful; brothers, Nathan Larson, Bountiful, Elder Brett Larson, serving in the France Paris Mission; sisters, Kristin, Ashlee Larson, Bountiful; grandparents, S.J. and Ruth Larson, Genola, Willard and Virginia Anderson, Stevensville, MT; many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wed. August 23, in the Bountiful Heights LDS Stake Center, 33 S. 1500 E. (Moss Hill Dr.) with Bishop Larry Jenkins officiating. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tues. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N. Main, and 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment, Lakeview Cemetery, 1640 E. Lakeview Dr.
Eric loved life and knew how to have fun. He will be missed by so many. Eric, you are LOVE!
