KAYSVILLE-- Virginia Major Green, 81, our beloved, beautiful, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away August 19, 2000.
She was born July 26, 1919 in Kaysville to Bruce and Pearl Burnett Major. She married Clifford George Green on January 12, 1936 in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death after 50 years of marriage.
Virginia was an active member of the LDS Church. Virginia loved to sing, play her organ and tell jokes. She was a marvelous cook. She loved to crochet and made many afghans and pillows.
"To know her was to love her."
Surviving are her two sons, Rodney (Francine) Green, Les (Madge) Green; one daughter, Anna Lee Vallace; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Paul (Francis) Major, Bob (Jerry) Major; two sisters, Grayce Tingey, and Gloria (Don) Crawley. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a grandson, Theron Green.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 25, 2000 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville LDS Tabernacle, 200 West Center Street. Friends and family may call at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main, on Thurs. from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 at the tabernacle. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
The family is especially grateful to Vista Care staff, staff and residents at the Apple Tree Retirement Center, staff at Rocky Mt. Care Center, special neighbors, friends, people from the Wards, for their kindness, flowers, treats, cards, and visits and ALL that was one in Virginia's behalf!
