Call it payback for money spent on skating lessons.

Skater Nancy Kerrigan's father has won $1 million on a $5 scratch-off lottery ticket.

Dan Kerrigan bought the ticket Aug. 16 at Center Beverage package store in Stoneham, Mass., and was so disbelieving of his luck that he had store employees double-check it.

Kerrigan is a welder who worked extra jobs to pay for his daughter's skating lessons.
