Scholastic Inc., publisher of the hit series on the endearing boy wizard, is sponsoring a "How the Harry Potter Books Have Changed My Life" contest. Ten winners will get to fly to New York and dine with author J.K. Rowling on Oct. 19 during her next U.S. tour.
No word on whether the food will be as tempting as the Hogwarts' feasts described in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire."
The rules: Essay must be 300 words or less. Authors must be 18 or under as of Sept. 11. Open to residents of the continental United States. Include name, address, age, gender, telephone number and a signed parental consent form. Must be postmarked by Sept. 11.
