Our husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Jerry Lane Curtis, 58, returned to his heavenly father peacefully Aug. 25, 2000.
Born Feb. 17, 1942 in Salt Lake City, UT. Son of Joseph Lester and Alta P. Curtis. Served in the United States Air Force 1960-1964. Married his sweetheart of 36 years, Marilyn Davis, May 28, 1964 and sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple May 27, 1965.
Jerry worked in the lumber business for 36 years and was currently employed by Jenson Lumber Company. Jerry spent his life serving others in church callings, his neighbors, and above all his friends. He enjoyed every minute of it. Jerry's family was his life, he enjoyed boating, camping and most of all spending time with them.
Survived by his wife, Marilyn; children, Carolyn (Tim) Kalm, Jolayne (Gerald) Heath, Karen, Justin (Becky) Curtis, Valarie (Jared) Nicol, Alison (Chris) Miller; and grandchildren, Jordan, Jessica, Justin, Jamie Kalm, Jennalynn, Nicholas Heath, Lindsay Nicol, Jaxon Curtis; brother, F. Ronald (Sharon) Curtis; two sisters; and his dog, Candy. Preceded in death by both parents.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Wed. Aug 30, in the Hillcrest LDS 2nd Ward Chapel, 8735 S Harvard Park Dr. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tues. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State and 10-11:15 a.m. at the church. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
