Allan C. Edson, Farmington, has been named to a four-year term on the Utah Osteopathic Physician Licensing Board of the Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing.

The appointment of Edson, a doctor of osteopathic medicine and surgery, was made by Douglas C. Borba, executive director of the Department of Commerce, with concurrence of Gov. Mike Leavitt.

Osteopathic medicine is a complete system of holistic health care, combining traditional medical and surgical approaches with an appreciation of the body's natural ability to heal itself. Edson is board-certified in both allergy and family practice.
