MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Brooks Bollinger had a stellar freshman season while Ron Dayne carried the offensive load for Wisconsin.
Now Dayne is gone, and much of that offensive load falls on Bollinger's shoulders. The sophomore quarterback will soon find out what life is like without Dayne — and he's cautiously excited about the prospect.
The No. 4 Badgers play host to Western Michigan on Thursday night to kick off their season.
The actual game isn't expected to be much more than a tuneup for the powerful Badgers.
