The ninth annual conference on Heart t' Heart, a program designed to help people overcome addictive behaviors, including alcohol and drugs, will be held Aug. 25 and 26 at Orem's Utah Valley State College.
Friday's events will be from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday's activities will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The conference theme is "No Other Name."
Planned topics include "Twelve Traditions — Antidote to Codependence," "Infinite Atonement — Key to Recovery" and "Lean Not to Thy Own Understanding."
Overeating, sexual addiction and other addictive behaviors will also be covered at the conference.
The Heart t' Heart program is not affiliated with the LDS Church but uses guidelines harmonious to LDS doctrines.
Last year's event attracted 200 people and some 300 are expected this year.
