Edward J. Fraughton, sculptor from South Jordan, is featured in the summer issue of Persimmon Hill magazine, the official publication of the National Cowboy Hall of Fame. Fraughton was a speaker at a recent seminar during the Hall's annual Prix de West Invitational Exhibition.
The Intermountain Society of Artists will hold its monthly meeting Wednesday, Aug. 9, 7 p.m. at the Murray Library (166 E. 5300 South). Sandi Olson, professional artist and teacher, will be the featured artist. Olson will demonstrate her technique in watercolors. The public is invited.
The National Museum of Wildlife Art, Jackson Hole, will show "Powerful Images: Portrayals of Native America," a thought-provoking multimedia exhibition about the perceptions and stereotypes surrounding Native American images in cultural history. The exhibit opens Aug. 18 and will run through Jan. 7, 2001.
