First half: Poor shooting (.405) dogged the Starzz, but they made only five turnovers. Adrienne Goodson (6-for-8) and backup center Amy Herrig (5-for-9) stepped in for 12 and 10 points to keep Utah close.
Second half: Williams came alive for 17 second-half points, Goodson added 10 and Korie Hlede 12, but the Starzz were still down as much as nine. They did finally take the lead 78-76 and were tied at 82 with three seconds to go. The Sting came out of a timeout going to Stinson (23 points). Utah doubled on her, and she missed, but Angie Braziel was uncovered across the lane for the winning tip-in. Jennifer Azzi missed a buzzer beater.
