PALMDALE, Calif. — Larry H. Miller Toyota Men's major fastpitch team continued streaking Saturday in the Best of the West tournament.

The Salt Lake City team (63-11) has won 14 straight games, including three Saturday, defeating the Phoenix Merchants 5-0, San Luis Obispo Bucks 8-2 and Fresno, Calif., 8-0 in six innings.

Dewey Dyck scattered five hits, fanning 10 in beating Phoenix. Kyle Magnusson had three hits, including two triples, Chad Boom produced two hits for two RBIs (1B, 2B) and Shawn Taylor had two hits.

Brandon Bert went 2-for-2, including a two-run homer in leading Miller Toyota over the Bucks.

Bert came back in the night cap against Fresno with two more hits and an RBI.

Perter Meredith pitched a two-hitter and struck out 13.

Today, Larry Miller continues in the winners' bracket when they play the fourth-place team of the other pool. The championship game is set for 2 p.m. MDT. Miller Toyota has won the tournament five straight years.
