Van Wagenen
Betty Jean Larsen Van Wagenen, 74, passed away August 5, 2000 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born Jan. 14, 1926 in Salt Lake City to Vance Carl Larsen and Clara Shelton Larsen McKendrick. Married William Dean Van Wagenen Aug 28, 1946. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church. She retired from Western Union after 30 years of service. She lived her younger years in Duchesne, Provo, and Salt Lake. Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend and spent her last years in loving care of her husband. She'll be missed by those who knew and loved her.
Survived by her husband; children, Jeanne (Frank) Larsen, Sharon (Larry) Fairbanks, Salt Lake, William Dean, Jr. (Evelyn), Centerville, Lois (Jim) Hibler, Kaysville; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert V. (Chris) Larsen, Michael W. (Joyce) McKendrick; sister, JoAnne L. Cheney, and stepmother, Leone Larsen Hancock. Preceded in death by parents; infant sister, Sharon; and stepfather, R. W. (Pat) McKendrick.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tues. Aug 8, 2000 in the East Millcreek LDS 11th Ward Chapel, 27th E. and Evergreen Ave. Family and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Mon. at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Dr and Tuesday at the ward from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
