Nai lost his father in the explosion. The car bomb killed 213 people and injured more than 5,000. The U.S. is commemorating the blast by providing a grant of $2.73 million to rebuild the Ufundi Savings and Credit Cooperative Society building, which was destroyed in the blast. Seventeen people have been charged in the bombing.
