PHOENIX-- Marion John Evertsen, 83, died August 3, 2000 in Sun City, Arizona.
Born April 16, 1917 in Ogden, UT. He was dedicated member of the LDS church. Marion was a prom-inent Phoenix mason-ry contractor whose major projects in-cluded Grady Gam-mage Auditorium on the campus of Ari-zona State University, St. Gregory's Catho-lic Church, Central High School, and the remodeling of the Mesa Arizona LDS Temple.
A loving husband and father, he is survived by Erdeen, his wife of 58 years; eight children, Mareen Robinson, Robert Alan, Suzanne Markgraff, James Deen, LeRoy Edward, Karen Wright, Kathryn Weiner, Earl Jay; three brothers, Eugene V., Vernon V., DeVon M.; one sister, Virginia Pratt; 23 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tues. Aug. 8, at the Phoenix West LDS Stake Center, corner of 18th Ave. and Earll Dr. in Phoenix, with visitation at the church, 9-10:45 a.m. Burial will follow at Greenwood-Memory Lawn Cemetery. Directors, Arizona Wakelin Bradshaw Chapel, Prescott Valley.
