Travis Perkins, a volunteer at the Utah Museum of Natural History, works on the museum's insect collection, which is the state's third largest. A selection from the 100,000 of these rare and beautiful insects will be on display for the first time Saturday as part of the museum's 30th anniversary festivities. The bugs are a research collection, which normally stays in the museum's back rooms but now will be shown in the lobby and special collection rooms. Children's activities are also planned.
