The body of the man who drove his truck into the East Canyon Reservoir may be retrieved by divers next week.

Killed was:

David Scott Allen, 38, of Washington Terrace.

His truck that went off the road into East Canyon Reservoir was removed Tuesday afternoon, but divers could not locate his body at that time.

Allen was the only person in the truck at the time it went off the road, Morgan County Chief Deputy Shane Matthews said.

Three divers from the National Park Service Tuesday tried to retrieve the truck and body, according to Morgan County Sheriff's Office. But when they got to the truck, the body was not inside.

Submarine equipment with a camera and mechanical arm will arrive in Morgan County Tuesday to retrieve the body, Matthews said.

Allen apparently was driving down East Canyon and failed to negotiate a sharp turn near the dam about 9:30 p.m., Matthews said.
