Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Elva M. Edgar, age 82, returned to her Heavenly Father December 13, 2001 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was born in Twin Falls, ID Nov 7, 1919 to William P. Martin and Alice Isabella Farrington Martin. She married Glenn E. Edgar in San Francisco, CA; later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple.

Elva was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a Primary teacher for many years in California and was a specialist in the Big Cottonwood Genealogy Center. Elva spent a great deal of time and effort in genealogical research, which she greatly enjoyed.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Duane Schmidt; two granddaughters, Elva Kerr, TX, Allison Mermoud, France; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters; and two brothers. Preceded in death by her husband, and two grandsons.

Services will be Tues. Dec 18, 2001, 11 a.m., Holladay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Dr, where friends and family may call one hour prior to the service. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1300 E. 500 S.
