CLEARFIELD — Lifetime Products Inc. has filed a lawsuit against Igloo Products Corp. in U.S. District Court in Salt Lake City, alleging Igloo patent, copyright and trade dress infringement.

The suit is in connection with Igloo's blow-molded, polyethylene folding banquet tables. Lifetime also manufactures folding tables.

Lifetime is seeking unspecified money damages and an injunction prohibiting Igloo from developing, selling or licensing products infringing upon Lifetime's patents, trade dress and copyright interests.

Privately held Lifetime said it invented blow-molded polyethylene picnic tables in 1995 and expanded on that by introducing a folding banquet table in 1998. The company also makes other folding tables, chairs and picnic tables plus basketball equipment.
