I-215 west belt to 4700 South Taylorsville exit. West to Bangerter Highway, left to 5400 South. Turn right and head west to 4800 West (Cougar Lane). Turn left and the oval is on the right about a half mile down.
An alternate, less congested route may be to take I-80, I-215 or I-15 to SR-201 West to Bangerter Highway, south to 6200 South, west to 4800 West, right and follow signs to oval. Note: This is the preferred spectator route for the Olympics.
Traffic tips
Access to 4800 West from 5400 South will be closed three hours before events begin through two hours after events end.
Residents should use alternate routes, including 5600 West.
4800 West from 6200 South will experience reduced capacity two hours before events begin and one-and-a-half hours after events end.
Only residents and businesses with no alternate access routes should use 4800 West during these times.
Drive to Park and Walk lot reserved for the Utah Olympic Oval. Spectators may not park along roads or in neighborhoods.
For those driving, carpooling is recommended.
The easiest way to get to the oval may be on free public transit. Ride TRAX light rail to Murray Central (5300 South). Take a free Olympic shuttle or transfer to UTA bus route 84. UTA bus route 34 also serves the Utah Olympic Oval. Call (888) 743-3882 or visit www.rideuta.com for schedules.
