Glenn Wood Coffman, Jr., 69, passed away on February 14, 2001, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Glenn was born October 20, 1931, in Provo, Utah, to Glenn Wood and Elizabeth Frances Ross Coffman. Married Verna Bigelow July 2, 1952, in the Manti LDS Temple.

He graduated from Springville High School in 1949. Attended Utah State Agricultural College. Graduated from BYU in 1958 with a BS degree in Secondary Education.

Glenn served in the army during the

Korean War in Japan, and retired as a Lt. Colonel from the Utah National Guard. Glenn joined the Utah Highway Patrol in 1956 and retired as a Captain.

He served in the Salt Lake and Jordan River Temples, and on a mission to the Orlando Temple with his wife, Verna. Served as Bishop 1975 1982, and many other callings in the LDS church. Glenn had a great love of family, fishing, and trains.

Survived by wife, Verna; children: Alene (Stephen) Davis; Ann (Kirk) McDougal;

Barbara (Steven) Ratto; Catherine (Michael) Larsen; Robert (Cathy) Coffman; Debra (Darrin) Glines; Allan (Barbara) Coffman; and Andrew (Molly) Coffman; two sisters, Margaret Arness and Denece Kelshaw; 30 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents and granddaughter, Rachael Alicia Ratto.

We wish to thank Dr. Fischbach; also Cathy, Dr. Miller and Mike from Hospice.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 19, 11 a.m. at the South Cottonwood 4th Ward, 980 East Revere Circle (5550 South).

Friends may call on Sunday, February 18, from 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and at the church on Monday from 10-10:40. Interment, Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
