Steven John Volmer, our beloved dad, brother, and friend passed away February 17, 2001 in his sleep.
Born on March 16, 1958 in Salt Lake City to Marilyn S. and Jack Lee Volmer. Married Jan Snyder September 16, 1978, later divorced. They were blessed with three wonderful children: Jennifer Marie, Jackelyn Ann, and Joshua Steven.
Graduated from Murray High School in 1976. Served in the U.S. Army, 1977-1982. Early in his career, Steve worked in banking and later in the automobile industry as finance manager at several locations, including Doug Smith Chrysler Plymouth. Was awarded Chrysler's Five-Star Service Award for Excellence in Customer Service on a number of occasions.
Steve had a charismatic person-ality and positive outlook that attracted others to him. He was thoughtful, generous, and kind. Steve had a rare talent for living life to the fullest and enjoyed skiing, fishing, and spending time with friends and family. As an employee, he was dedicated and hard working. Steve was a devoted father whose children held a special place in his heart. He would swell with pride when talking about Jenni, Jacke, and Josh.
Survived by his children; former wife, Jan, and her parents: Connie and John Snyder; her brother, sisters, and their families. Also survived by sisters: Linda Auwerda and Nan-cy Volmer, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, stepfather, along with many loving
friends. Preceded in death by parents.

Services will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2001 at noon at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 Highland Drive, where friends may call on Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday 10:45-11:45 a.m., prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park
