Guys of all ages named "Dave" and their guests are invited to a whimsical "Too Many Daves" party on Friday, March 2, at 7 p.m. at the Salt Lake City Main Library, 209 E. 500 South.

The party kicks off the library's celebration of the birthday of Dr. Seuss, one of the most popular children's authors of all time.

Theme of the party comes from a Seuss story of the same title, about a woman who has 23 sons named Dave

KUTV sportscaster David James will read from Seuss' "Too Many Daves" and will also participate in a world-record-try photo of more Daves together than anywhere before.

The Chapman Library Branch, 577 S. 900 West, will have a performance of "Horton Hatches the Egg," another Seuss favorite, on Saturday, March 3, at 1 p.m.

The Anderson-Foothill Branch, 1135 S. 2100 East, will host a Seuss party with cake, craft and stories on on Saturday, March 3, from 3-5 p.m.
